Some points about the USA were removed from the Paris Declaration on Ukraine

According to the publication Politico, the security declaration for Ukraine, signed the day before in Paris, was significantly shortened compared to the initial draft. The final version lacks several points concerning the USA, as reported by RBC.
In the new edition, which Steve Witkoff, special representative of Donald Trump, characterized as a significant step towards ending the conflict, it is stated that the USA will participate in monitoring and verifying the ceasefire regime. However, mentions of the USA's role in the multinational contingent, which was supposed to "ensure deterrence," are no longer in the text.
The provision stating that the USA "will support these multinational forces in the event of an attack and provide assistance in intelligence and logistics" has also been removed.
The signed document consists of five points, among which are long-term military cooperation of the "coalition of the willing" with Ukraine, the restoration of the country's armed forces, and funding for arms purchases for Kyiv.
Regarding the deployment of multinational forces, French President Emmanuel Macron noted that they would be stationed in western Ukraine, away from current combat operations. This option did not receive unanimous support among the participants in the negotiations. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, for example, emphasized that German troops could only be in one of the neighboring countries that are part of the alliance.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, for his part, announced his country's intention, along with France, to establish military bases throughout Ukraine.
Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that the deployment of foreign contingents in Ukraine is one of the reasons for the military conflict. At the plenary session of the WEF-2025, he noted that if such a contingent appears during hostilities, it will become a legitimate target for defeat.
The document signed in Paris emphasizes that the foreign contingent can be deployed only after a peace agreement is reached.
