In Kyrgyzstan, the activities of a transnational drug trafficking group have been suppressed.

As a result of a special operation, the officers of the SBON of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic identified and dismantled a transnational organized drug trafficking group that had been smuggling narcotic substances of Afghan origin through the territory of Kyrgyzstan for a long time.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during investigative and operational activities, a criminal group was arrested, which included citizens from Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Seven alleged members of the group were detained: A. U. A. (born in 1997), M. B. (born in 1966), M. M. A. (born in 2004), R. A. Zh. (born in 1968), A. E. Zh. (born in 1980), Zh. Kh. R. (born in 1970), and Sh. A. R. (born in 1978). In addition, a citizen of Russia, A. Kh. T. (born in 1972), has been identified and placed on the international wanted list.

Also, the following vehicles have been transferred to the state: BMW 530i (2019), KIA Sorento (2019), KIA K3 (2022), Hyundai Ioniq (2016), Jeep Compass (2019), and Toyota Alphard (2006).

Based on the collected materials, the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has opened several criminal cases under Articles 262, 282, 285, and 378 of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are ongoing regarding other possible participants in the drug network and their alleged corrupt connections.
