In IK-10 of Jalal-Abad Region, a soldier was driven to suicide. An officer has been detained.

The military prosecutor's office reported on January 8 the detention of another suspect in the case of incitement to suicide, as reported by the editorial office of "AKIpress Summary".

In accordance with the criminal case initiated under Article 128, Part 1 ("Incitement to Suicide") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, a platoon commander, Lieutenant R.u.A. from the Department of Protection and Escort of the State Penitentiary Service, was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Manas Internal Affairs Department.

Previously, another serviceman, M.M., born in 2006, was detained in this case.

“Currently, a comprehensive investigation is underway to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. All arguments presented by the legal representatives and relatives of the deceased serviceman will also be checked, after which an appropriate legal assessment will be provided,” the supervisory authority reported.

The incident occurred on January 5 at around 15:25 at the security post of correctional institution No. 10, located in the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region. During the incident, a conscript serviceman A.A.N., born in 2007, who was serving in the 5th guard battalion of the State Penitentiary Service, shot himself with his service weapon and died from the injuries sustained.
