Suicide of a soldier in the Jalal-Abad region. Details from the GSIN

The press service of the State Penitentiary Service (GSIN) provided information about the death of a soldier in the Jalal-Abad region, as reported by 24.kg in its coverage.

According to the report, the incident occurred today at around 15:25. The young serviceman, A.A.N., born in 2007, was serving his mandatory military service in the 5th security battalion located in the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district. While on duty at correctional facility No. 10 of the GSIN, he, for reasons that are still unclear, shot himself with his service weapon and, unfortunately, died at the scene.

The Deputy Chairman of the GSIN, Colonel Kurmanbek Sokeev, along with heads of relevant services, promptly arrived at the scene of the tragedy to conduct operational investigative actions. Additionally, representatives of the Bazar-Korgon district police department and the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Jalal-Abad garrison also went to the site of the incident.

The investigative team documented all necessary materials related to this case. Currently, the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Jalal-Abad garrison is conducting pre-trial procedural actions.
