A conscript serviceman died at his post in IK No. 10

In correctional facility No. 10, located in the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region, a serviceman born in 2007 tragically died. He was part of the 5th Guard Battalion of the Department of Security and Convoy of the State Penitentiary Service.

According to information provided by the press service of the State Penitentiary Service, the incident occurred on January 5 at approximately 15:25 at the security post. Preliminary data indicates that the serviceman sustained a fatal gunshot wound from his service weapon and died at the scene.

To investigate the circumstances of the incident, Colonel Kurmanbek Sokeev, who holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the State Penitentiary Service and Head of the Department of Security and Convoy, as well as other leaders of the relevant units, went to the site.

Officers from the Bazar-Korgon District Department of Internal Affairs and the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Jalal-Abad garrison are participating in the investigation. An investigation is currently underway, and necessary materials are being collected for further proceedings.
