A serviceman committed suicide using a firearm


In the Jalal-Abad region, a serviceman of the State Penitentiary Service (GPS) took his own life. This was reported by the press service of the agency.

According to the GPS, the tragedy occurred the day before at around 15:25. 16-year-old A.A.N., who was undergoing mandatory military service in the 5th security battalion in the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district, used his service pistol to shoot himself at his post in correctional facility No. 10.

Unfortunately, A.A.N. died at the scene from the injuries sustained.

The Deputy Chairman of the GPS, the head of the security and escort department Kurmanbek Sokeev, as well as representatives of the relevant services, arrived at the scene of the tragedy. Officers from the district police department and the military prosecutor's office are also present.

Currently, operational investigative actions are being conducted.
