Suspect Detained in Connection with Abuse in the Village of Alamedin

On January 6, the press service of the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs reported to the editorial office of "AKIpress Summary" about the detention of a suspect in hooliganism.

Recently, a video has surfaced on social media showing acts of violence against young people in a private house in the village of Alamedin. These footage has caused a wide public outcry.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 280 ("Hooliganism") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect, a citizen F.V., born in 1993, has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. An investigation is currently underway.

The Sverdlovsk Department of Internal Affairs reminds that any manifestation of violence, whether physical or psychological, as well as humiliation of human dignity, is subject to criminal liability under current laws.
