In IK-10 of Jalal-Abad Region, an 18-year-old soldier shot himself

In correctional facility No. 10, located in the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district of the Jalal-Abad region, a tragic incident occurred: a conscript soldier A.A.N., born in 2007, lost his life while performing his official duties in the 5th guard battalion of the Department of Protection and Convoying of the State Penitentiary Service.

According to the press service of the SPS, the incident took place on January 5 at around 15:25 at the security post. Preliminary findings indicate that for reasons yet to be determined, the soldier shot himself with his service weapon and, unfortunately, died at the scene from his injuries.

The Deputy Chairman of the SPS, Colonel Kurmanbek Sokeev, as well as other officials responsible for organizing operational investigative actions, arrived at the scene.

Employees of the Bazar-Korgon district police department and the military prosecutor's office of the Jalal-Abad garrison are participating in the investigation. Currently, the military prosecutor's office is conducting investigative activities and gathering the necessary materials.
