Construction of wastewater treatment facilities in Cholpon-Ata inspected by Nurdin Oruntaev

The head of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services, Nurdana Oruntaev, conducted an inspection of the construction works for the wastewater treatment facilities in Cholpon-Ata. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.

It has become known that this project is being implemented as part of the program "Environmental Management of Lake Issyk-Kul and Sustainable Tourism Development."

During the inspection, the under-construction pumping stations were also checked, and the importance of adhering to the established deadlines and ensuring high-quality work was emphasized.

The new sewage treatment station will be capable of processing up to 14,200 cubic meters of wastewater per day.

The centralized sewage system will connect not only Cholpon-Ata but also the neighboring villages of Bosteri, Baktyu-Dolonotu, and Kara-Oy, as well as the boarding houses and guest houses located in these areas.

Currently, only 30-40% of the city's population is connected to the sewage system.

The completion of all construction works is scheduled for the end of 2027.
