In Bishkek, a check is being conducted on families registered for incidents of domestic violence. This was reported by the press service of the Leninsky District Department of Internal Affairs.

As part of the activities to prevent domestic violence, the head of GOM-1 Altynbek Chynberdiev met with a woman raising five children, who had previously reported her 30-year-old husband to the police. The man was detained for several days. According to the woman, this is not the first time her husband has faced legal consequences.

Despite what happened, she continues to live with him, noting that everything is calm in the family at the moment.

A case of domestic violence was also recorded in the residential area "Ak-Ordo-3." The protective order for the victimized woman has been extended. Her husband, who is unemployed and suffers from alcohol addiction, periodically causes scandals. On the eve of the New Year, he attempted to attack his wife and son with a knife, but the son intervened, trying to protect his mother. As a result, the police decided to send the man for treatment at a narcological clinic.

It is worth noting that earlier the Ministry of Internal Affairs called on the citizens of Kyrgyzstan to report incidents of domestic violence during the holiday season.
