The Head of the SBU in Ukraine Has Changed

The head of the SBU has changed in Ukraine
Vasiliy Malyuk announced his resignation from the position of head of the Security Service of Ukraine, and temporarily his place will be taken by Yevgeny Khmara, as reported by "Meduza".

Malyuk noted: "I remain in the SBU system to continue the implementation of asymmetrical special operations of a global level that will inflict maximum damage on the enemy. I am confident that a strong and modern intelligence service is the key to the security of our state. The changes that the President of Ukraine is implementing in the defense sector are aimed at this, and I express my gratitude to him," his statement published on the SBU Telegram channel reads.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, reported on his meeting with Malyuk, thanking him for his work. According to Zelensky, Malyuk will remain "in the SBU system." During the conversation, they also discussed candidates for the position of the new head of the service, and ultimately the choice fell on the head of the special operations center "A" — Yevgeny Khmara.
