During a press conference at the White House, Trump commented on the possibility of an operation to capture Vladimir Putin. This question arose against the backdrop of the recent capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, who, according to the journalist, has become the focus of global attention. Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that if such actions are effective against dictators, then Washington knows how to proceed.

The journalist asked Trump whether he would order the capture of Putin.

To this, Trump replied: "I don't see the need for that. I've always had good relations with him."

According to the U.S. president, Putin "does not fear Europe, but he fears the U.S." under his leadership. "He has no fear of Europe. You see, Europe is lagging behind. It needs to get its act together," Trump added.

Speaking about negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, Trump expressed hope for a swift resolution to the conflict. "I wish it would happen faster because a lot of people, mostly soldiers, are dying," he noted.

It is worth recalling that on January 3, the U.S. conducted a military operation in Venezuela, during which American special forces captured Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. Two days later, a court in New York charged them with "narcoterrorism," conspiracy to import cocaine into the U.S., and illegal possession of weapons. Maduro and Flores pleaded not guilty, with the next court hearing scheduled for March 17.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump also announced plans to conduct a ground operation in Mexico. He noted that the U.S. plans to start attacks on drug cartels, which, according to him, effectively control the country.
