Annexation of Greenland. Mass protests took place in Denmark
Recent protests have swept through Denmark and Greenland in response to the intentions of the U.S. president to annex the island. According to TV2, thousands of people took to the streets of Copenhagen and Nuuk. Protesters, including both Danes and Greenlanders, expressed their dissatisfaction by holding signs that read "Hands off Greenland" and flags of the island. Greenland's Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen also attended the rallies, showing his support for the action.
