The World Nomad Games, which will take place soon, are planned to be one of the most impressive and grandiose in their entire history. This year, 49 million soms have been allocated for the awards of winners and prizewinners. For the first time within the framework of these Games, the organizers will introduce new concepts: the "great player of kok-boru" and the "great horse of kok-boru" will be announced. This initiative is expected to significantly increase the motivation of participants and attract more spectators to the main competitions.
The prize money also emphasizes the importance of the tournament. In horse racing, winners will be able to receive up to 1 million soms depending on the distance, while in the team standings for kok-boru, the main prize will amount to 5 million soms. Additionally, at the initiative of Kazakhstan, kokpar will be included in the competition program for the first time this year. Kyrgyz teams have already completed their line-up and are actively preparing for the competitions.
The central events of the Games will take place at several significant venues in the Issyk-Kul region. Among them are the racetrack in Cholpon-Ata, the "Gazprom" sports and health complex in Baktyu-Dolonotu, and the "Rukh Ordo" cultural center. Traditionally, the most picturesque location will be the Kychyn valley in the Semenov Gorge, where an authentic atmosphere of nomadic culture will be created.
