Syimyq Zhapykiev commented on the rumor that he received $5 million when he left his position

In the podcast available here, Zhapikeev confirmed that after the events of October, he received $10,000 from Zhapаров as financial support.

During the conversation, Kyazov inquired whether Zhapikeev, while in public service, had received $500,000 and the title of general, after which he retired. To this, Zhapikeev pointed out that the rumors about $5 million are absurd.

According to him, at one point he needed $30,000, but Zhapаров was unable to help with that amount. Nevertheless, he noted that the $10,000 was provided to him as a gift. At the time of their discussion, Zhapаров was either acting president or had already become president, but Zhapikeev did not specify exactly when this was.

Zhapikeev also spoke about his relationship with Zhapаров: "People were shouting 'Sadyr, Sadyr, Sadyr!' I told him that I supported him, although I could have chosen not to. Later, I asked him for help, and he gave me $10,000. He promised to help me find a job every time, but it never happened. I appealed to the Military Prosecutor's Office and other agencies, but he replied that I wouldn't manage. How wouldn't I manage? All those 'fools' managed. In the end, I lost the desire to ask him for anything. As for those $5 million, they are just rumors, and many people believe in such nonsense. They think they were close to me and heard all the conversations. I am an honest person and do not ask for any money," he noted.

Zhapikeev also commented on his pension rights. When asked whether the status of a general helps in receiving a high pension, he replied that he himself does not receive a pension.

"To receive a pension, you need to work for 20 years without breaks. I worked for 18 years and 2 months, lacking 10 months. Therefore, I do not have any advantages from my rank of general," he added.
