Farmers are urged to switch to water-saving methods due to a possible water shortage
The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan has warned farmers about a potential shortage of water resources and strongly recommended that they switch to more efficient methods of water use. “Due to climate change and reduced precipitation during the growing season of 2026, there is a likelihood of water scarcity. As a result, irrigation volumes will be significantly reduced, and in some regions, shortages may occur,” the ministry noted.
