Air carriers want to be exempt from fees on eight domestic routes

The Cabinet of Ministers has initiated a public discussion of a new project aimed at exempting air carriers from paying certain fees on domestic flights intended for socially significant routes. This measure is designed to stabilize ticket prices and support the development of civil aviation in the country.

According to the proposed project, airlines will be required to pay only 50% of the fees for air navigation services charged by the state enterprise "Kyrgyz Air Navigation." However, companies registered in Kyrgyzstan that operate regular flights on eight key routes will be able to completely avoid these fees for seven days after completing a flight.

Similar measures are proposed to be implemented for airport fees.

It is recommended that JSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" charge air carriers only 50% of the established rate, while companies serving the same eight routes will be fully exempt from fees for a period of seven days.
