According to lawyer Nurbek Toktakunov, some of the detainees met each other for the first time during the session. He also reported that two suspects accused law enforcement agencies of torture.

The lawyer noted that the torture referred to instances when Akzholov and Kubanychbekov claimed they were pressured to provide testimony against Shailoobek Atazov. At the same time, Atazov's connection to the other individuals in the case remains unclear, as indicated by the defense attorney.

The unrest case: The court has arrested three suspects

It is worth recalling that in November 2025, law enforcement agencies detained ten people as part of the investigation into the preparation of mass unrest. At that time, the court decided on a preventive measure in the form of arrest. Among those detained were members of the "Social Democrats" party and former deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detainees were allegedly planning to organize a series of rallies across the country following the early parliamentary elections.
