Kazakhstan may impose a 3-month ban on carrot exports, the country ranks third in supplies to Kyrgyzstan

On December 24, a draft order was published, according to which Kazakhstan may impose a three-month ban on the export of fresh carrots.

This step is due to the need to ensure food security in the country.

For Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan is the main supplier of carrots, as shown by the data from the National Statistical Committee for the first ten months of 2025. China ranks second in supply volumes, while Kazakhstan is in third place.
