Life in the Regions: In the Village of the Tonsky District, a Mother-in-Law and Daughter-in-Law Prepare Bozo and Ashlyanfu for Their Fellow Villagers
Akzholtoi Satybaeva, a resident of the upper gorge of the Ton district, shared details of her entrepreneurial activities with a Turmush correspondent.
“We live in the village of Ala-Bash, which is far from the district center, in a picturesque place at the foot of the mountains. Together with my daughter-in-law Zhyldyz, we decided to start making bozo. I taught her this craft using methods I once learned from my mother-in-law. Now we prepare and sell more than 30 liters of bozo every day. Later, we decided to try our hand at making ashlyanfu, and soon we succeeded in that as well. Working in our small kitchen, we are engaged in our favorite activity.
After making the bozo, we strain it and bottle it, and then we prepare the ashlyanfu and package it for sale. My daughter-in-law quickly adapted to the work. We manage to fulfill our household duties, take care of our grandchildren, and simultaneously earn extra income. We have also been raising "Haybert" breed turkeys since they were young, fattening them up and selling them. We strive to keep the birds clean and offer halal products to our customers.
My daughter-in-law shows initiative and actively engages in business without leaving the confines of our home. Our combined income helps us improve our family's financial situation and brings in good profits. Currently, we meet the needs of our village, and in the future, we plan to expand our services to the entire district,” she noted.
