Digital Farmer and "From Field to Shelf": How Agriculture in the Kyrgyz Republic Developed in 2025
In the course of 11 months in 2025, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry implemented numerous significant initiatives aimed at modernizing agriculture, introducing scientific methods, and digital solutions.
Scientific research covered 35 topics related to crop production, animal husbandry, and pasture management. One of the most important topics was the improvement and preservation of the genetic potential of agricultural animals, including cattle, small livestock, and horses.
To enhance cooperation among farmers, processing enterprises, associations, and businesses, the "Agrodialog–2025" forum was organized, gathering 2,521 participants, including agricultural producers, exporters, processors, and representatives of the financial sector.
Additionally, the "Digital Farmer–2025" forum took place, where 580 participants, including government officials, farmers, entrepreneurs, processors, and international partners, discussed the application of digital technologies in agriculture.
As part of training farmers in modern technologies, educational caravans "Agrozoovet" were conducted, involving 760 rural producers.
In the republic, 26 Farmer Service Centers (FSC) were established, and during 2025, 2,358 farmers received consulting services.
Furthermore, the ministry launched pilot projects "Farmer's Personal Account" and "3+2+1", selecting 240 farmers for participation. These projects provide support at all stages of the production cycle — "from field to shelf."
