- In 2025, Kazakhstan will commission 503 megawatts of installed capacity from renewable energy sources, according to data published on January 6 by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This increase in capacity is associated with nine new renewable energy facilities, including: five wind power plants with a total capacity of 387 MW, three solar power plants with 90 MW, and one hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 26 MW.
