Mongolia to purchase 710,000 tons of gasoline from Russia

This month, according to Begzsurin, an agreement was confirmed with the Russian oil refinery in Angarsk for the supply of AI-92 gasoline. He noted that the consumption of petroleum products in Mongolia is growing by 30% annually. At the same time, fuel supplies from Russia remain stable, although in January the country placed an order to increase supply volumes by approximately 60%.
According to available data, as of January 5 of this year, petroleum product supplies to Ulaanbaatar have stabilized, and the ministry has begun work to increase reserves of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline for 20 days. There are no issues with diesel fuel supplies: the volume at the beginning of 2026 will amount to 197 thousand tons.
