In the city of Cholpon-Ata, a number of streets have been renamed

The deputies of the local kenesh of Cholpon-Ata approved the renaming of several streets and the naming of a number of facilities. This decision was made on December 16, 2025.

According to the text of the resolution, the changes were initiated by the mayor's office of Cholpon-Ata in requests dated December 9 and 11, 2025. In accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic on geographical names, as well as the regulation governing the process of naming and changing the names of geographical objects, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the necessary rules on March 25, 2025 (resolution No. 149).

Among the decisions made by the deputies are:

– Akmatbay Ata Street, which is located west of the alley named after Ch. Aitmatov, will now be named after Chyngyz Aitmatov;

– a new name has been assigned to the unnamed perpendicular street located east of the village of Baktyu-Dolonotu, and it will now be called "Baktyu-Dolonotu".

In addition, the deputies approved the name "Akyilman" for the newly built kindergarten in microdistrict No. 2 of Cholpon-Ata.

The city mayor's office has been instructed to ensure the implementation of this resolution.
