Liam Rosenior appointed head coach of "Chelsea"
Liam Rozenior, who is 41 years old, has been appointed as the head coach of Chelsea, replacing Enzo Maresca, who left the team in early January.
Previously, Rozenior managed Strasbourg in France, where he led the team to a seventh-place finish in Ligue 1 and secured the club's participation in the UEFA Conference League. Both clubs are owned by BlueCo. The new contract with Rozenior is set to last until 2032.
In his first address to the media, Rozenior emphasized the importance of team spirit, unity, and the desire to win. He expressed his intention to maintain Chelsea's identity and continue the tradition of winning trophies.
Rozenior's appointment comes amid a difficult run for the team, which has won only one of its last eight matches in the Premier League. However, in the latest round, Chelsea drew with Manchester City under the guidance of interim coach Callum McFarlane.
Rozenior's first official match as head coach will be a London derby against Fulham, followed by a meeting with Charlton in the FA Cup.
