The Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev shared the Ministry of Culture's plans for the construction of new cultural facilities and major repairs of theaters in various regions in an interview with AKIpress.

According to him, the Issyk-Kul Regional Musical Drama Theater named after K. Zhantoshiev is located in Karakol and currently requires urgent attention as it has been declared emergency. “The theater was built from several blocks, and one of them has started to settle. The Seismology Institute has already confirmed its emergency condition, and with the support of the president, we hope to begin the major construction of a new theater in 2026,” Mambetaliev noted.

The minister also announced plans for the major repair of the theater in the village of Kochkor in the Naryn region. He specified that the building's framework is in good condition; however, insulation of the walls was not taken into account during construction. In 2025, about 7 million soms will be allocated to the theater, and an additional 15 million soms are planned for 2026 for facade improvements and landscaping of the area.

Additionally, a new philharmonic hall is planned to be built in Manas. In the Moscow district of the village of Belovodskoye, a cultural center will be constructed, which will combine a library, a museum, and a hall for 300-350 seats intended for performances and concerts,” the Minister of Culture added.
