In Kyrgyzstan, about 150,000 citizens received PINs with errors

In Kyrgyzstan, approximately 150,000 people received personal identification numbers with errors. This was reported by Ernes Dosaliev, Deputy Director of the state institution "Kyzmat," at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee dedicated to science, education, innovation, information technology, culture, sports, and youth policy.

During the meeting, a draft law concerning the personalized accounting of citizens for the purposes of mandatory state social insurance was discussed. This document proposes clarifying the procedures for assigning and correcting PINs through the Cabinet of Ministers.

Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva raised the question of how the history of the PIN will be accounted for in the event of its change, so that citizens can continue to use their number even after modifications, and that this process is clearly regulated.

In response, Ernes Dosaliev explained that the PIN serves as a tool for personal identification, and all data in the system is recorded in such a way that it cannot be completely canceled or deleted. He also noted that an error in assigning a PIN is not the fault of the citizens, and changing the number is only possible at the request of the individual. Additionally, the deputy emphasized the need for data integration to avoid problems for citizens when their PIN is changed.
