"50 Citizens of Kyrgyzstan Reside in Mongolia, - Prosecutor General's Office"

In Mongolia, there are about 50 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as reported by Deputy Attorney General Ümütkan Konkubaeva during a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with issues related to the judicial system, law enforcement, combating crime, and countering corruption.

During the meeting, the draft law "On the Ratification of the Extradition Treaty between the Kyrgyz Republic and Mongolia" was discussed, which was signed on July 21, 2025, in Bishkek. This document is intended to establish a legal framework for the extradition of convicted individuals so that they can serve their sentences in their home country.

Konkubaeva also mentioned that in some cases, criminal cases had been opened, some of which were suspended. In addition, there were cases of the deportation of Kyrgyz citizens from Mongolia for violating the law.
