Deputy: What will happen to citizens' pension contributions if they were issued a PIN with errors?

At the meeting of the committee on science, education, innovative development, and culture held on January 19, Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva raised a question about what will happen to citizens' pension contributions if their PIN is changed due to detected technical errors.

She noted that if, for example, a citizen was issued a PIN with an error and it was then automatically corrected, whether their "life history" would disappear.

In response, a representative of the State Institution "Kyzmat" assured that the old PIN would be blocked, but its history would remain accessible.

The deputy clarified that this could cause problems: "If a person made pension contributions under their PIN and it was changed, what will happen to their savings? Will they disappear along with the blocking of the old PIN?"

Ernes Dosaliev, Deputy Director of the State Institution "Kyzmat," acknowledged that this question is indeed important.

"This is a serious issue, and people need to understand how it works. In most cases, citizens turn to different ministries due to a lack of information. The PIN is just a tool for identification, while a person's identity remains unchanged. All data, including old erroneous PINs, will be stored in the AIS system, and certificates will be issued based on them. For example, there are currently about 150,000 erroneous PINs in the Social Fund, and this is not the citizens' fault. Therefore, all social contributions are retained for the individual," he explained.
