Kazakh Kokpar Included in the Program of the World Nomad Games

“This was a proposal from the Kazakh side”


Kokpar, a traditional game from Kazakhstan, has been included in the program of the VI World Nomad Games, which will take place this year in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by Kazybek Moldazhiyev, head of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, at a recent briefing.

In addition to kokpar, kok-boru is also on the program.

“This was a proposal from the Kazakh side. We will adhere to all the rules. Our athletes will participate in kokpar, and it is important to consider the wishes of our neighbors,” he noted.
