In Kyrgyzstan, the sports program of the VI World Nomad Games was presented
The presentation of the sports program for the VI World Nomad Games, organized by the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture, and Sports, took place in Kyrgyzstan.
According to Kazybek Moldazhiyev, the agency's director, the event will be held in 2026 in Cholpon-Ata, with the opening ceremony scheduled for August 31 at the under-construction "Bishkek Arena" stadium. The main competitions will begin on September 2.
As part of the games, competitions in 43 national and traditional sports are planned. A record number of participants is expected — over 100 countries.
“In the first WNG, held in 2014, only 19 countries participated. Today, the number of participating countries is rapidly growing, highlighting the uniqueness of this sports and cultural event,” noted the head of the state agency.
He also added that the timing of the games coincides with the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which, according to the organizers, will attract additional attention to the event on the international stage.
A new element of the VI World Nomad Games program will be the special contests "Great Player of Kok-Boru" and "Great Horse of Kok-Boru," which will be presented for the first time.

In addition to sports events, various exhibition and cultural zones will be organized for guests.
“These games are not only a sporting event but also a significant impetus for the development of tourism and the promotion of Kyrgyzstan's cultural heritage,” added Kazybek Moldazhiyev.
