He noted that both kokpar and kok-boru will be part of the program.
Moldazhiyev emphasized: "The initiative came from the Kazakh side. We will adhere to all established rules, and our players will participate in kokpar, while respecting the wishes of our neighbors."
Earlier, the organizing committee of the WNG had stated that kokpar would not be represented at the 2026 Nomad Games, and the competitions in kok-boru would be held in a club format.
The head of the state agency added that the club format has been abandoned, and everything will be organized as it was before. He also highlighted that national teams from various countries will participate in the competitions.
Moldazhiyev discussed that the preparation for the WNG-2026 is taking place in a new format.
He noted: "This is a kind of cooperation between sports and tourism; every guest of the Nomad Games is a potential tourist for our country in the future."
According to him, the opening of the Games is scheduled for August 31 in Bishkek, followed by the transfer of participants to Issyk-Kul on September 1, and the sports competitions will begin on September 2.
