4 locations on Issyk-Kul, 43 types of ethno-sports - the head of the State Agency for Physical Culture spoke about the program of the World Nomad Games
The event will be held from August 31 to September 6 in Kyrgyzstan, coinciding with the anniversary summit of the SCO. The opening ceremony is scheduled for August 31 at the under-construction "Bishkek Arena" stadium, which can accommodate 51,000 spectators. The main competitions and the closing of the games will take place at Issyk-Kul.
"On September 1, we will organize transportation for all participants to Cholpon-Ata, where they will be accommodated. The official start of the World Nomad Games is set for September 2, and they will conclude on September 6," Moldazhiyev added.
Four venues for the tournament in Cholpon-Ata include the racetrack, the Gazprom complex, the cultural center "Rukh Ordo" named after Ch. Aitmatov, and the Kychyn Gorge.
The program of the games covers eight main areas, including national games of the peoples of the world, horse racing, equestrian competitions, types of wrestling, traditional strength disciplines, intellectual games, shooting with traditional bows, as well as national hunting with falcons and dogs.
According to Moldazhiyev, the VI World Nomad Games will feature 43 types of national and traditional sports.
