
Among the detainees are former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kursan Asanov and ex-governor of the Osh region Aaly Karashev.
Recently, information has emerged in the media and social networks that 75 citizens have appealed to President Sadyr Japarov and Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, requesting the immediate initiation of new presidential elections in the country. This appeal was signed by scholars, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures.

“Such actions can provoke political tension and public disagreements. They also threaten stability in the country and internal unity,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated. In this regard, the investigative service has already initiated a criminal case under the article on mass riots.
It should be noted that earlier within the framework of this same case, Emilbek Uzakbaev, Kurmanbek Dyikanbaev, and Bekbolot Talgarbekov were detained. Bekbolot Talgarbekov was one of the initiators of the collective appeal calling for the immediate holding of new presidential elections. This appeal was signed by 75 people, including scholars, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures.
