The Ministry of Internal Affairs has denied rumors about detentions and searches among those who signed the appeal for early presidential elections.
It should be noted that a group of 75 scholars and politicians appealed to President Sadyr Japarov and Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu with a request to hold elections earlier than planned.
Earlier, Arstan, the son of Bekbolot Talgarbeckov, reported that his father was detained for questioning, and searches were conducted in his apartment located in the 8th microdistrict of Bishkek. He added that all those who signed the appeal are being summoned to the police. This information spread on social media and on the 24.kg website.
