Three citizens detained who signed the appeal for early presidential elections

In the morning, all 75 signatories of the appeal were brought to the police


The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports the detention of three citizens who signed an appeal to President Sadyr Japarov and Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu requesting early elections.

According to law enforcement representatives, some phrases from this appeal caused significant public resonance and became the reason for further escalation of the political situation in the country. In this regard, a criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of Article 278 "Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On the morning of February 11, all 75 signatories of this appeal were brought to the investigative bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the investigation, the initiators were three individuals: T. B., born in 1955, U. E., also born in 1955, and D. K., born in 1960. During the investigation, searches were conducted at their homes, and the suspects were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility,” the police report states.

It should be clarified that the initials correspond to Bekbolot Talgarbekov, Emil Uzakbaev, and Kurmanbek Dyykanbaev, who signed the appeal.
