According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in recent days, information has appeared in the media and on the internet that a group of 75 people has appealed to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, demanding the immediate initiation of new presidential elections. The appeal, signed by scientists, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures, contains statements that have sparked active debates among the population and exacerbated the socio-political situation in the country.
In connection with these events, the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 278 "Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. The detainees are currently in a temporary detention facility.
It is worth noting that Bekbolot Talgarbekov is one of the initiators of this appeal calling for new elections. The document was signed by 75 individuals, including scientists, former high-ranking officials, and public figures.
Earlier, the president's press secretary stated that Sadyr Japarov's remarks about the inadmissibility of division referred not only to Kamchybek Tashiev but also to figures such as Bekbolot Talgarbekov and Emilbek Uzakbaev.
