Public figure Bekbolot Talgarbekov was subjected to detention and interrogation by law enforcement officials. This was reported by his son Arstan Talgarbekov.
According to him, in the morning, police officers arrived at Talgarbekov's apartment, located in the 8th microdistrict of Bishkek, with a search warrant. After the investigative actions were completed, he was taken to the Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for questioning.
It is reported that three officers accompanied Talgarbekov, while others remained in the apartment to continue procedural activities.
The son of the detained individual added that law enforcement agencies are summoning all 75 people who signed a collective appeal requesting early presidential elections for questioning. He emphasized that the document does not contain any illegal calls, and his father expresses support for the policies of President Sadyr Japarov and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev.
Earlier, Talgarbekov was one of the initiators of the appeal urging the urgent consideration of the issue of new presidential elections. This appeal was signed by 75 individuals, including scholars, former prime ministers, former deputies, and other public figures.
Additionally, some media outlets reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs denied some of these statements.
