Law enforcement agencies believe that some statements from this petition caused significant public resonance and led to an "intensification of socio-political tension" in the country. In this regard, a criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of article 278 "Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On the morning of February 11, the signatories of the petition were taken to the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The investigation established that the initiators of the petition are T. B., born in 1955, U. E., born in 1955, and D. K., born in 1960. Searches were conducted in their homes, and the suspects were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
