Japan mobilizes army due to record snowfall, casualties reported
The number of fatalities due to abnormal snowfall in Japan has risen to 46, and 558 people have been injured, according to BILD. According to reports, in some cases, the bodies of victims were found only after several days, as they were buried under thick layers of snow. There have also been accidents caused by snow sliding off building roofs, and reports of private homes being destroyed in the affected regions.
