Kazakhstan invests over 26 billion tenge in its resorts on Issyk-Kul

Investment in the resort and recreational sector in Issyk-Kul will exceed 26 billion tenge, as reported by the Deputy Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan, Dauren Temirbekov, during a briefing in the Senate, according to Kazinform.
According to Temirbekov, Almara Petroleum will be the investor for the sports and wellness center "Olympus," which is managed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. A total of 3.7 billion tenge will be allocated for this purpose.

Additionally, around 10 billion tenge is planned to be invested in the "Samal" rest house, which is owned by the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpaev.

As for the third facility, the sports and wellness camp "University," an investor has not yet been selected. However, according to preliminary data from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the expected investment volume will be 13 billion tenge.

The Deputy Minister noted that the implementation of the projects will begin as early as the beginning of 2025, without waiting for the ratification of the agreement, which will allow all work to be completed by the end of 2029.

Previously, an agreement between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan regarding property rights to resort and recreational facilities located in the Issyk-Kul region was ratified.
