In 2026, the Open Joint Stock Company "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan" plans to purchase 268 transformers. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to information from the agency, as part of the preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2026-2027, the country will undergo modernization of substations for both high and low voltage.
At 20 substations with high-voltage networks of 35 and 110 kV, the capacity of transformers will be increased by 256 MVA.

- Bishkek — 2 units;
- Jalal-Abad region — 5 units;
- Issyk-Kul region — 5 units;
- Naryn region — 2 units;
- Talas region — 2 units;
- Chui region — 4 units.
Distribution of new transformers by regions:
- Bishkek — 46 units;
- Osh region — 46 units;
- Talas region — 42 units;
- Jalal-Abad region PES — 29 units;
- Issyk-Kul region — 28 units;
- Naryn region — 27 units;
- Batken region — 22 units;
- Chui region — 8 units.
