The Jogorku Kenesh adopted the protocol on amendments to the EAEU Agreement in the second reading.

- On February 19, 2026, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh discussed and approved in the second reading the draft law "On the Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, signed on July 28, 2025, in the city of Moscow."
The initiator of this draft law was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The amendments contained in the Protocol are aimed at addressing gaps identified in the process of law enforcement, as well as clarifying the terms used in the Treaty on the Union. In addition, they empower the Eurasian Economic Commission with the authority to approve the methodology for qualifying obstacles in the internal market of the EAEU and recognizing barriers and restrictions as eliminated.
