The draft law was initiated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sultan Akhmatov, presented information on the amendments.
The proposed changes are aimed at correcting previously identified shortcomings in law enforcement practice, clarifying the terms used in the Treaty on the Union, as well as empowering the Eurasian Economic Commission to approve the methodology for assessing obstacles in the internal market and recognizing barriers and restrictions as eliminated.
