According to Dzhakyshev, a medical certificate in form 083 is not required for the replacement of indefinite driving licenses. He reminded that earlier, on January 15, Daiyrbek Orunbekov, the head of the Information Policy Service of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, announced on Facebook the possibility of extending the campaign for those who did not manage to update their documents within the specified time.
“If someone cannot complete the exchange in the allotted time, additional time will be provided, so there is no need to worry,” he noted.
As part of the campaign to replace indefinite driving licenses, two documents must be provided: a citizen's passport of the Kyrgyz Republic (ID card) and old driving licenses. A form 083 certificate and a certificate of completion from a driving school are not required for the exchange of indefinite licenses, and the certificate is only needed when obtaining a license for the first time.
The authorities explain the reasons for the mass replacement of licenses: insufficient protection of old licenses and their forgery, wear and tear of documents, as well as the absence of digital versions of old-style licenses, which are often not accepted abroad. The new licenses are automatically entered into digital databases and comply with international standards.
Driving licenses can be replaced both in the office and online. If the license is registered in the "Tunduk" system, the application can be submitted through the app without the need to visit the office. In cases where the document is not in the digital system, one should contact the branches of the GCRTS. The possibility of online exchange without a form 083 certificate will be available from January 19.
