Tumanbaev explained the procedure for replacing indefinite driver's licenses

In Kyrgyzstan, it is now possible to replace indefinite driver's licenses without the need to provide a medical certificate of form 083. This was announced by the head of the president's office, Kanibek Tumanbaev.

During his visit to the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers today, Tumanbaev familiarized himself with the process of replacing licenses and spoke with citizens, clarifying the procedure for providing the service.

The head of the president's office emphasized the importance of replacing indefinite driver's licenses. He explained that old licenses do not have a digital format and are not accepted in several neighboring countries, which creates difficulties when using documents abroad. Thus, the transition to new samples is necessary for their legalization and compliance with modern international standards.

In addition, Tumanbaev noted that old indefinite licenses have insufficient security features. They often use outdated photographs, which complicates the identification process and creates risks associated with potential abuse—when the license may be used by another person. The new document samples provide a higher level of protection and minimize such risks, as well as simplify the work of road safety officials.

Kanibek Tumanbaev added that previously, when submitting applications through the "Tündük" system, a medical certificate of form 083 was automatically required. However, in order to enhance convenience for citizens, starting from Monday, this requirement will be excluded for the process of replacing old licenses. This change will allow citizens to process license replacements online, without leaving their homes.

He also urged citizens to follow the established procedure to avoid crowding:

  • Citizens whose driver's licenses do not have a digital format and are not registered in the "Tündük" system should apply in person for replacement;
  • Citizens whose licenses are visible in the system are recommended to replace them online, without visiting the center.
This approach is aimed at enhancing the security of licenses, simplifying the process for citizens, and optimizing the work of government institutions.
