In Kyrgyzstan, the period for free exchange of driver's licenses has been limited
It is worth noting that indefinite driver's licenses have been abolished, and now new licenses are issued for a period of 10 years. Everyone who has indefinite licenses must update them.
This applies to licenses issued between 2009 and 2012.
Drivers have also reported difficulties in obtaining a medical certificate in form 083. The Ministry of Health assures that the issuance of certificates is proceeding as usual, and medical workers are accepting all citizens without refusals, in the order of their turn.
The institution "Unaa" added that the free exchange is available only for owners of old indefinite licenses.
“If citizens do not manage to exchange their indefinite licenses within the specified period, they will be able to do so later, but for a fee. There is no specific deadline for paid exchanges,” the State Agency clarified.
If desired, the exchange can be conducted in a week, a month, or at any time during the year; however, this will be a paid service costing 779 soms. All other citizens will be served in the usual manner.
