Kyrgyzstan Increases Volumes and Range of Exports to China

In 2025, Kyrgyzstan focused on strategically increasing exports to the People's Republic of China. According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, eight protocols for the supply of various goods have been signed, including wool, cashmere, beans, meat, and poultry by-products. Three protocols for the export of raw leather and thermally processed meat have also been agreed upon.
The launch of dried fruit exports has become a significant achievement of the year: the first batch of dried apricots weighing 23 tons was successfully shipped to China. Currently, the relevant ministry is working on preparing documentation to begin supplies of vegetable oil, wine, and fresh vegetables to the Chinese market.
Additionally, the republic is actively developing export relations in other markets. For instance, about 300 kg of honey was exported to the United Kingdom, which is an important step towards obtaining permission for supplies to European Union countries. The export of 144 horses to Saudi Arabia confirmed the high potential of the country's livestock sector.
Besides traditional sales channels, Kyrgyz producers are starting to actively use digital platforms for trade. The export of dried fruits, honey, and processed products is now carried out through the Wildberries marketplace, allowing access to a wide audience of consumers in the online space. The expansion of export geography in 2025 has become an important factor in supporting local producers and the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan's agricultural sector.
