He noted that several legislative initiatives aimed at improving migration processes will be proposed in the near future.
One of the changes will be the reduction of the mandatory medical examination period for migrants who have been in the country for more than three months, from 90 to 30 days.
It is also planned that medical institutions will be required to inform the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia about the results of examinations and Rospotrebnadzor about identified infectious diseases among migrants, which will allow for the prompt organization of their deportation.
In addition, it is proposed to introduce administrative measures against foreign citizens who evade medical examinations. Such actions will incur a fine, as well as the possibility of expulsion by court decision. Criminal liability for forging documents confirming the absence of dangerous diseases will also be tightened, noted Vyacheslav Volodin.
He emphasized that all proposed measures are aimed at strengthening control over migrants and increasing the level of public safety in the country.
