The Financial Supervision Authority of the Kyrgyz Republic found accounts on Instagram with signs of illegal lottery.

The Service for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market, which is part of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, is actively identifying and suppressing schemes of illegal lotteries that are spreading through social networks and the internet.

According to the agency, some online raffles conducted without the proper permits may mislead people by offering enticing prizes such as cars, cash rewards, and other valuable gifts. "Such actions violate the legislation of Kyrgyzstan and may threaten the financial security of participants," the statement emphasizes.

During monitoring, the financial oversight agency identified a number of Instagram accounts that organized illegal raffles with the mandatory condition of purchasing goods or services:

The agency also reminds that the mentioned pages do not have permission to conduct lottery activities, which confirms their involvement in illegal raffles.

The main signs of illegal activity include:

• absence of a license to conduct a lottery;
• requirement for a money transfer or mandatory purchase to participate;
• lack of official rules, deadlines, and conditions for conducting;
• promises of prizes such as cars and large sums of money without legal grounds.
